My Thoughts on Being a Blogger
So I guess I'm a blogger now...
Not that I have anything against bloggers, besides the fact that I generally believe that they are pretentious and seeking attention. I mean how important do you think you are to dedicate a whole website to your everyday life and assume everybody wants to know all about it? But here I am, so I guess that makes me pretentious now too.
My basic reason for doing this is that I want to practice my writing. For those of you who don't know (which is probably most everyone), I am switching my major at BYU to Editing & Publishing; this will lead me into a career in editing, which usually requires strong writing skills. While I don't think I'm a terrible writer *everyone reading scoffs*, I want to improve my abilities, so again, here I am. Now I know what everyone's thinking, "you're telling me you're a blogger who's not a 'mommy' who loves sharing all her fun cookie recipes and doing DIY projects for her trendy home and kids' school projects? Is that even legal?" I know I don't have any of the typical qualifications, but turns out those things aren't requirements to start a blog...who knew? I'll admit it might be tough for all of us to handle, but we can get through it.
I'm really just planning on sharing thoughts and opinions on here that I have on a day-to-day basis. Anyone who knows me knows that once I get going, I can give a good rant about things, so basically, that's what I'm going to do. Rant. I'm not really trying to make a political statement or argue about things, just 💖express myself💖. In other words, I'm really annoying and want you to voluntarily read my overbearing opinions so that I don't feel responsible if you get annoyed or offended 👍.
So now that that's out of the way, welcome to my blog! Feel free to comment, share, or give me feedback on my writing. I'm here to improve, people.
